Triton Yachts has served North Carolina sailors for over three decades. Located in Oriental, NC – North Carolina’s Sailing Capital – Triton Yachts has served North Carolina boaters since 1983.

You’ll find owner Paul Welles at work most every day at the offices in Oriental. An experienced sailor, Paul and his staff and know both cruising and racing boats.

About Paul Welles
Paul and his father (Paul Welles, Jr) started Triton Yachts in Raleigh in 1983. Paul and his wife Nancy moved to Oriental in 1992, and since then the business has been based in Oriental. Paul has and owned and raced J/boats, Etchells, Ensign and Sunfish class sailboats. When away from the office Paul, Nancy and their two daughters are often cruising on board their Pacific Seacraft Crealock 34.

Captain John Schwab, CPYB, Myrtle Beach, SC
John grew up cruising and sailing the Coastal New England waters where he and his wife Beth lived aboard their 42’ 1954 vintage wooden Matthews cruiser. After relocating to the Coastal Carolinas in the early 80’s, John obtained his USCG 100 Ton Masters License, and sails a 34’ Pacific Seacraft, “Norstar”. John is also an active Sailing Charter Captain, Delivery Skipper and member of the North Strand Sail and Power Squadron, as well as an Instructor, and Vessel Safety Examiner. John is passionate about boating and shares his knowledge and experience with clients to find the right boat and works hard at marketing his client’s listings.
